Our Rock 101 program is perfect for kids and beginners who want to learn the concepts and skills behind their studies. During weekly group rehearsals, students learn to play classic rock songs simplified for beginning musicians. In addition, they have a weekly private music class with an instructor to help them along the way. At School of Rock Las Vegas West, we combine weekly private singing classes with weekly band rehearsals so that our students can play live in Las Vegas. We are different from other beginner drum classes in Las Vegas because we prepare our students to play in front of a real, live audience.
All students in the acting program have the opportunity to audition for a position in the House Band at the School of Rock Las Vegas West. Founded in 1990, the Concert Band is a CSN music course, called MUSE 111, for which students receive a credit upon successful completion. Adult students will work together during the rehearsal to prepare for a live performance at an authentic rock venue in Las Vegas. Unlike other Las Vegas guitar classes and programs, School of Rock is designed for students to play in a band. Las Vegas-area adult program students learn to play the piano through a combination of weekly private piano lessons for beginners and weekly rehearsals for bands.
All School of Rock NW Las Vegas students are placed in an adult peer group and then assigned specific songs as a way to learn key musical concepts and skills.
